Disney Plus: Why You Need to Add This Service to Your Rotation

If you’ve been waiting for the official launch of Disney Plus, you’re in luck! The Disney Plus streaming service hits the ground running with some of the best content we’ve ever seen from Marvel, Pixar, and National Geographic! But what makes this service stand out? What are the perks that make Disney Plus more than just another addition to your streaming lineup? Let’s take a closer look at what this service has to offer.

What is Disney Plus?

Disney Plus is the new streaming service from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and NatGeo. Not only does it have every Disney movie ever made (plus a bunch of other movies like Black Panther and Dr. Strange), but you can also watch live TV from any of those channels. The best part? It’s $7 a month for the basic plan or $12 for the premium plan.

Whether you’re into Disney, Marvel, or NatGeo, you can add these channels to your service. There’s even some non-Disney content that has a ton of anime and thriller films. The best part? All movies are on demand so you can watch what you want when you want it. It doesn’t matter if they’re available streaming or not because they don’t count against your plan usage either way.

It’s not just movies. There are tons of TV shows on Disney Plus too, and they’re almost always available with their new season. In addition to all these shows, you can also watch your favorite Disney Channel and ESPN sports games live in real-time. If you love basketball or baseball, it’s a great way to keep up with those games without having to pay for any other services.

What’s great about it?

If you’re a regular movie watcher, Disney Plus is the service for you. The best thing about it is that all of your favorite movies and shows are included in one place. It’s pretty much Netflix but with Disney as the star of the show. From old classics like Beauty and the Beast to newer releases like Avengers Endgame, there is something for everyone.

But if that isn’t enough, they also have original content exclusively on Disney plus including The Mandalorian which is a Star Wars spin-off series starring Pedro Pascal.

Disney Plus was just released in late November so there is no fee to try it out. There is a free trial offer if you want more time to check it out. The free trial lasts one month and then after that, you will have access for three months for $4.99 a month.

After those three months, you can subscribe for a year at $59.99 or have access for $7/month as part of Amazon prime or Netflix as well but not Hulu because Disney owns 20% of Hulu but doesn’t allow their content on Hulu anymore. There are also rumors about an Apple TV app that could make it cheaper than current streaming options although nothing has been confirmed yet.

What could be better?

It’s always hard to keep up with the latest and greatest streaming services. The newest on the scene is Disney Plus and it’s one worth paying attention to. With a library that includes all of your favorite Disney titles, Pixar movies, Marvel shows, and more, you can’t help but be hooked. And, with all of the new original programming coming down the pipeline, you’ll be in for a treat.

New additions include The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar; a High School Musical spin-off starring China Anne McClain; Marvel’s Falcon and Winter Soldier; and multiple live-action series based on Disney classics like Lady & The Tramp. Check out this list for everything you need to know about why you need this service in your rotation.

The new series The Mandalorian is helmed by Jon Favreau and features an impressive cast, including Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, and Giancarlo Esposito. Although it doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet, we’re excited about what’s to come.

Meanwhile, one of our favorite parts of Disney Plus will be a show called High Fidelity that’s set in a comic book shop and is created by none other than Karey Dornetto (writer of John Tucker Must Die). This hilarious show stars Emma Roberts as a newly single woman looking for love in all of the wrong places until she gets advice from her nerdy male co-workers.
