What is the ECampus Login and Registration Process for DCCCD Students?

DCCCD MOOCS Today
The 2018-2019 academic year marked the first time that students at Dallas County Community College District had access to MOOCs through Blackboard’s eCampus platform. The goal of this was to provide online courses that are comparable to courses offered at the brick-and-mortar campuses, without the need for expensive textbooks.
Students were required to register with their email address, set up a password, and create a profile with personal information such as name, major, school year, graduation date, etc. Once these steps were completed they could begin browsing courses by category or instructor.
Students enrolled in courses by either clicking on Enroll Now or Add To My Course List. This enrollment process only took seconds before it was complete.
What are Blended Courses?
Blended courses combine online coursework with face-to-face instruction. The goal is to meet the needs of students who might not be able to take a traditional class because they are unable to attend in person, need additional support, or want a more flexible schedule.

How Is MicroCredentials Going to Change Education at Dallas County Community College District?
Microcredentials are digital badges that can be earned through completing certain tasks, such as skills-based projects or courses. These micro-credentials will be the equivalent of a paper credential and can be used to earn degrees.

The first step, like today, is to create an account with ECampus. In the future, the account creation process will be easier as all of your personal information will be available through your driver’s license or other state-issued ID.
You will then have to select a username for your account. This should be something unique and easy to remember so that you can find it easily when you are ready to log back in.
Next, you’ll need to give yourself a password that is easy for you to remember, but hard enough so others don’t figure it out.
